iLash By Lauren Academy: 1000-Hour Curriculum

The iLash By Lauren Academy cosmetology program is an all-encompassing curriculum spanning 1000 hours, comprising various hands on lessons and practical exercises. Our program is renowned among industry experts for its top-notch quality and its focus on producing ready-to-hire graduates who can confidently step into any salon as a professional cosmetologist. Our graduates are well-equipped to successfully clear both Texas State Examinations (written and practical) to obtain their licensure.

The cosmetology curriculum is governed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, ensuring the highest standard of cosmetology education. 

Examinations

You must pass both a written exam and practical exam to obtain a Texas cosmetology license.

Written Exam

After completing 900 of the 1,000 required hours, your school will notify TDLR of your eligibility to take the written licensing exam. Once TDLR has verified your eligibility to take the exam, our third-party vendor (PSI) will send you an email confirmation with instructions for scheduling an appointment to take the written examination.

After you have successfully completed all hours of your beauty school training program, you will be notified of your eligibility to take the practical exam.
